Dance Lesson 7/24/11: Today at dance lessons we actually had more men than ladies for most of
the lesson. Keith taught 3 more steps and the guys are getting better
and better at leading us ladies.
Judy Reiser's Pool Party, 7/23/11: As usual, Judy's party made a splash! It was a nice hot day so we all kept cool in the water, playing pool badminton and voleyball....and clearly (Carla) we were all awesome players! One of my castmates I invited, Jennifer Fox, came and she had a wonderful time meeting all of us. Jennifer was very impressed by how close we are and enjoyed our dancing and singing. Of course we had our usual SCS delicious feast that Judy organized. After we had our dessert we had a fun night of group karaoke.
Dance Lessons Report from Keith: The dance lessons are coming along nicely. We are at a point now that we review all the steps we've already learned and add one new one each week. New people are always welcome. By reviewing we are able to bring new people up to where we are. Some who never thought they had the ability, are now dancing! We still have quite a few steps to learn. I encourage everyone to practice their dancing by attending the Friday nights Senior Center Dancing.
Luau Report from Keith: We had twenty people attend the Luau. Everyone had a good time visiting and swimming in the pool. There was also a lively game of bocce ball with the wine princesses (Judy R and Carla), Lee and Karen, Paul and Peg all winning a few rounds. But in the end, it was Tony and Celeste who took 1st place. There was plenty of delicious food and lots of good conversing after dinner. When all was said and done, I only wound up with two pairs of sunglasses and a beach towel.
Saturday, July 16, 2011: Keith once again hosted his Annual Luau at his house. It was a perfect day--not too hot but warm enough for a good swim. He barbequed a couple of delicous pork roasts (in lieu of the traditional in-the-ground barbequed pig) and the rest of the group brought some wonderful side dishes and desserts. See the current photos in the picture tab.
Sunday, July 10, 2011: After a wonderful dance lesson with Keith, we all went to Judy Reiser's house for an impromptu pool party. It was a nice warm day and the pool water was refreshing. We ordered pizza and enjoyed some great conversations.
Saturday, July 9, 2011: The SCSingles met for dinner at Tail of the Whale. In attendance were Karen Williams, Lee Franks, Gerd Jensen, Judy Reiser, Tony Gilbert, Celeste Feser, and Keith Arnett. Pegg Parker brought a guest, Jerry (sorry I don't remember the last name) from San Diego. Lake Shasta looked beautiful and was a great backdrop as we sat outside to enjoy a nice, cool drink before dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the wonderful fellowship.
